“My custom rug arrived! Actually TWO of them – a 3’ x 5’ and a 4’ x 6’.
Both are available for sale, but if you’d like something designed just for YOU, give me a shout!
NEW RETAIL LOCATION!
I’m happy to announce you can find my designs in Cottonwood again!
Please visit Synergy Artwear - right on Main Street in Old Town – for a wide selection of Scissored Vixen modified tees, canvas prints and original artwork!”
My first music-related project this year is for local musician April Anne!
April asked a few of her artsy friends to come up with some pieces (in the shape of glass shards)
to be used as stage décor at her “Unbroken” CD release performances on February 18th.
I’m still fostering for Lucky Dog Rescue AZ!
My current foster is Olive, a Cairn Terrier mix.
In addition to being adorable, she’s smart as a whip and she dances for treats!
She’ll soon be adoptable through LDR!
My poor little Dani (second foster) didn’t make it through a surgery
attempting to correct a birth defect that severely affected her ability to eat.
It turned out that things were much more complicated than pre-surgery tests were able to show.
I’m so thankful that Lucky Dog was able to give her every chance
– and even more so that she was able to spend her last few months with me.
My first foster, Waldi, was adopted about 3 weeks into his stay with me
and now lives a very happy life as Larry, with a wonderful family!

The Bra Recyclers:
Hooray! My Brazaart entry, “Remover of Obstacles” got enough votes to take 3rd place in the annual Bra Recyclers contest! Thank you to everyone who took time to vote.
My Brazaarart entry is inspired by the Hindu god Ganesh. Ganesh represents new beginning as is frequently called upon as a remover of obstacles.
The centerpiece of my design is a small print of my painting of Ganesh from earlier this year. The embellishments are mostly a mix of retro-vintage jewelry pieces and a selection of odds and ends left over from previous art and sewing projects.
My design goal was to create a bra that embodied the very rich, colorful and heavily decorated image and spirit of the “elephant head god.”
